Activator

An activator is a small spring-loaded instrument designed to correct dysfunctional spinal segments by providing a focused thrust directly into the segment. The process is gentle, painless, and quickly addresses many musculoskeletal issues. The chiropractors at DCG are highly trained in activator treatments, allowing us to achieve remarkable results with our patients.

Our activator device is more effective than many other methods due to the fact that when pressure or force is directed towards a muscle, reflexes engage the muscle to automatically tense and contract. When this happens, the body is actually fighting against the treatment. Since this technique applies the needed pressure quickly, the muscle does not have time to resist, resulting in a more effective treatment that utilizes less force.

The low-force correction provided by an activator is ideal for patients who wish to avoid hands-on treatment. In addition, because it produces such low force, it is safe for use on pregnant women, babies, and children.
