Dr. Sexton grew up locally in South Lyon and spent a lot of time playing different sports in the Brighton/Howell area. Dr. Sexton was introduced to chiropractic during high school when he was suffering from a severe concussion where he was experiencing vertigo like symptoms. After several different visits to different neurologists in the area, he decided to visit a chiropractor. After just two visits, Dr. Sexton noticed he felt significantly better and after one month of treatment, he was able to return to sports without any lingering symptoms. It was shortly after that experience that Dr. Sexton knew he wanted to become a chiropractor.

Dr. Sexton earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from Michigan State University. During his time at Michigan State, Dr. Sexton shadowed many different chiropractors in the area to learn what technique of chiropractic was best to focus on in chiropractic school. Dr. Sexton completed his undergraduate studies and graduated in 2015 to begin his journey at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida just 3 weeks after graduation.

During his time in Port Orange, Florida at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Sexton spent a lot of time studying as many techniques as he could to better help his patients. Dr. Sexton learned several soft tissue techniques ideal for athletes such as Performance Taping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and active release technique (ART). Along with the soft tissue techniques, Dr. Sexton spent a considerable amount of time studying a technique known as Applied Kinesiology. Dr. Sexton received a 100 hour Applied Kinesiology from the ICAK.

Dr. Sexton has a passion working with athletes due to his positive experiences with chiropractic and improved performance on the golf course. During his time at the Palmer College Clinic, Dr. Sexton worked with many athletes from Daytona State College and Atlantic High School in Port Orange. Dr. Sexton looks forward to helping athletes of all skill levels at Duncan Chiropractic Group (DCG).

Dr. Sexton has two big passions in his free time; golfing whenever he can, and traveling with his girlfriend Olivia, and their Bernese Mountain dog named Maggie. Dr. Sexton still plays golf competitively in the Michigan Amateur events and recently just returned from a national championship event at Kiawah Island in South Carolina. Dr. Sexton has spent most of his live in the metro-Detroit area and is excited to serve the Livingston County area!
