CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN
Dr. Corey Laber is a chiropractic physician at Duncan Chiropractic Group (DCG)'s Brighton location. Dr. Laber joins DCG as it continues to grow into one of the largest chiropractic and massage offices in the state, treating over 25,000 patients in Livingston, Oakland and Washtenaw counties and performing over 250,000 treatments. DCG was voted “Best Chiropractor” by the Livingston County Press & Argus every year from 2010 to 2018, as well as “Best Massage” from 2015 to 2019. Hour Detroit has also recently named DCG to their list of “Top Chiropractors” in metro Detroit and WDIV LOCAL 4 News recognized DCG as "TOP 5" BEST MASSAGE businesses in metro Detroit in 2020 and 2021.
Dr. Laber is fellowship trained in prenatal Chiropractic and pediatrics. He was the owner and operator of Laber Family Chiropractic Health Center in Howell, Michigan for the past 20 years. We recently welcomed patients of his practice into our duncan chiropractic group family.
Dr. Laber shares his story about why he became a chiropractic physician.
"Years ago something happened to me that changed my life forever. Back then, I was just a high school student at Plymouth-Salem High School when I developed very painful migraines. In my case the headaches came on suddenly, and were occurring just about everyday. The pain was so intense most days I had to leave school early. It was starting to affect every aspect of my life. The pain was so bad I even thought about quitting the varsity tennis team. After consulting with numerous doctors, and being given medications that didn't help (and actually made me feel worse), I thought I was going to have to give up.
A friend of mine convinced me to give a chiropractor a try. The chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then “adjusted” my spine. The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief from the pain, and had fewer headaches throughout the week. I was able to remain on the tennis team. It worked so well that I went to chiropractic school myself."
Aside from being a highly experienced chiropractor, Dr. Laber is also a Captain Firefighter for the Brighton Area Fire Authority and rescue diver for the Livingston County Dive Team. He enjoys spending time with his wife, who is a Howell teacher and daughter.
