Dr. Gary Carlini is a chiropractic physician at Duncan Chiropractic Group where he accepts patients at both the Brighton and Howell locations. Dr. Carlini joins DCG as it continues to grow into one of the largest chiropractic and massage offices in the state, treating over 50,000 patients in Livingston, Oakland and Washtenaw counties and performing over 500,000 treatments. DCG has won Livingston Daily Community Choice Awards for Best Chiropractor, Best Massage and Best Sports Medicine Clinic from 2010-2022. Dr. Carlini has a bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University. He was a teacher for five years in Taylor Public Schools before changing careers. He attended Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina where he earned his doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine. He founded Carlini Chiropractic Center in beautiful downtown Brighton in 1992. He is one of the most experienced chiropractic physicians in the area having served the Brighton community for the past 31 years! We recently welcomed patients of his practice into our duncan chiropractic group family.
Dr. Carlini shares his story about why he became a chiropractic physician.
"I grew up in a downriver community of Detroit and after graduating from High School, my plan was to follow in the footsteps of my parents and become a school teacher. I graduated from EMU with a degree in education and began teaching in Taylor Public Schools for five years. Along with coaching a number of sports, I thought that my course in life was all set. During that time, I started seeing a chiropractor for treatment of a chronic neck injury as a result of playing organized hockey since my youth.
During that chiropractic treatment program, I came to realize that my chronic ear infections, that had been a part of my life for years, were gone. It was at that time that I decided to change my path in life and become a chiropractor.”
Aside from being a highly experienced chiropractor, Dr. Carlini enjoys spending time with his family, including his wife and two daughters. He has raised two daughters in Brighton Schools who were both members of the highly competitive Brighton Pom Team and graduates of Brighton High School. He has been involved with his Church’s youth group for many years.
